    Immanuel Lutheran School will have a Roots, Blues, & Barbecue Dinner Auction April 27 starting at 5 p.m. The menu includes smoked ribs, chicken, teriyaki skewers, pulled pork, potato bar, salad, rolls, and deep fried cheesecake. The event is at the Immanuel Lutheran School. Tickets $25 each, for more information 573-364-3915.
     
    The Missouri Quarter Horse Association is sponsoring a Western Clinic hosted by the Mike Tivoli Training Facility in Vichy April 27 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Topics include the basics of reining, basics of Western pleasure and general equine health. The clinic is open to the public and costs $5 per person and $25 per horse (limited to the first 10). For more information or to register your horse, call Linda Sands, 573-578-2385.
     
    The Rolla High School fashion show will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, at the Rolla Middle School auditorium. Doors open at 6:30. Tickets are $4 per person, children 6 and under are free.
     
    The Rolla Police Department and Prevention Consultants of Missouri will participate in the DEA's National Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Expired and unused medications will be collected in the driveway of First Presbyterian Church at 919 E. 10th St., Rolla.
     
    A benefit walk for Mentoring Makes a Difference will be held Saturday, April 27 in Rolla. The event will begin at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church parking lot. Registration for the fundraising event is $15. All participants will receive a T-shirt and be eligible for a prize raffle.
     
    The Duke Auxiliary Firefighters Association will be sponsoring a Dessert Social on Sat., April 27, from 6-9 p.m. at the Duke Fire House located on Highway K in Duke. Join the community for an evening of music by local musicians. If you want to join in, bring your instrument. Bring a dessert to share with others. There will be a raffle for a $200 Visa gift card.
     
    The Newburg Back-Packers will host a spring craft fling Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Doolittle Community Center.
     
    Christian Drama Force will perform a full-length comedy at Greentree Christian Church Friday-Sunday April 26-28 at 7 p.m. each night. The play is appropriate for all ages and admission is free.
     
    Lifeline Baptist Church will host a gospel singing beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 27 featuring the talented “Instruments of Faith” quartet. Lifeline is located one mile south of Rolla on Hwy 63.
     
    Alateen meets at 7 p.m. every Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church, 10th and Main streets, Rolla.

    The Farmers' Market at the St. James Tourist Center is now open. Hours are Fridays and Saturdays, 8 a.m.- 2 p.m, Sunday 1-4 p.m. Tuesday 4-8 p.m.­

    Sunday, April 28
    The Rolla Choral Arts Society (RCAS) will present its spring concert this Sunday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Rolla. The featured work in the concert is Gabriel Faure’s “Requiem.” RCAS ensembles performing in the concert include: RCCC Young Singers, Rolla Community Children’s Choir, Rolla Men of Song, Rolla Community Choir, and special guests the RHS Chamber Choir. Tickets for the concert are available in advance at Kent Jewelry, online at www.rollachoirs.org or at the door on the day of the performance. Doors will open for audience seating at 1:30 p.m.
