About the event: The theme of Rolla High School's annual fashion show is Fashion and Flames. The event will be held in the Rolla Middle School Auditurium Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Cost: Admission is $4 per ticket. Children under six get in free. According to Paige Newkirk, a Rolla High School student in charge of marketing for the event, the money raised during the show will be put back into the fashion department to give students a better chance to explore the fashion industry.
Who: The RHS Fashion Marketing class is putting the show on, with help from the high school fashion designers and Mrs. Cantrell. “The students have designed all the clothes throughout this school year,” said Newkirk. “All the clothing pieces started out as a piece of cloth and were turned into masterpieces.” She added that Maurice's clothing store will also have models in show.
Why go? “People should come because our students have worked very hard and deserve an audience to view their creations,” said Newkirk. “This fashion show is simply for local enjoyment and a great way for the community to help raise money for our local high school Fashion Department. Plus it is a fun way to spend a Saturday evening with friends and family.”
