  • The Phelps County Commission will hold its meeting Tuesday, April 23, at 7 p.m. at the St. James City Hall, 100 S. Jefferson St. in St. James. All area residents are invited and encouraged to attend these evening meetings to express concerns or to offer comments to county officeholders.     The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive Tuesday, April 23, from 3-6 p.m. at Rolla Middle School, 1111 Soest Road, Rolla.
     
    The Phelps County University of Missouri Extension 4-H Council meeting will take place April 23 at 7 p.m. in the Extension Center meeting room.
     
    Chapter KU of P.E.O. will meet at 1 p.m. on April 23 at First United Methodist Church. The co-hostesses will be Pennye Hall, Carla Brookshire, and Peggy Bisbee.
     
    Story time is every Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. for preschoolers at the James Memorial Library.
     
    Al-Anon meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Central Community Church of God, Fourth and Olive.
