SAUGET, Ill. – The St. James High School baseball team were shut out by Four Rivers Conference rival Sullivan 6-0 Friday.
The game was played at the Gateway Grizzlies' minor league baseball team's home field at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Ill., located just across the river from St. Louis.
With the defeat St. James fell to 4-13 overall and 1-3 in the league. The Sullivan Eagles improve to 11-4 and 3-0.
St. James was limited to just one hit, a single by Zach Dean.
Senior jake Ford was the starting and losing pitcher for the Tigers, allowing six runs on five hits and six walks while fanning six. Sullivan also took advantage of four St. James errors.
Jake Gleason finished up on the mound for the Tigers.
