Insall scores pair of goals for Lady Bulldogs.
The Rolla High School girls' soccer team ran its winning streak to nine games and recorded the seventh shutout in its last eight outings on Saturday, blanking Hazelwood Central 3-0.
The Lady Bulldogs, ranked No. 6 in the Missouri Class 2 state poll, improve to 10-1.
Freshman Katie Hudson got the shutout in goal.
Senior Mikaela Insall netted a pair of goals, one in each half. Both were assisted by junior Nicole Howard. Howard added the third goal unassisted.
"Mikaela scored two great goals," said RHS head coach Mike Howard. "She is playing very well for us right now. The first one was one of the nicest goals we've seen in a while."
Rolla had been scheduled to play at Hazelwood West on Friday but that game was canceled due to the field conditions.
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to renew their rivalry with Waynesville on the road Tuesday in Ozark Conference action. The junior varsity game is to begin at 5 p.m. in Waynesville with the varsity contest to follow.
"Waynesville will be a tough test for us," Mike Howard said. "They are a fast, physical team."
