The Phelps County Commission has rescheduled its night meeting for Rolla as part of its outreach effort for National County Government Month.
The night meeting in Rolla was initially scheduled for May 2, but will now take place Tuesday, May 7, at 7 p.m. in the Phelps County Courthouse Multi-Purpose Room, 200 N. Main St., Rolla.
The commission is holding meetings at night at various communities around the county to encourage attendance by residents who may not normally be able to come to commission meetings, which are normally held Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
The commission held its first night meeting this month Tuesday evening in Doolittle. Upcoming night meetings held by the commission will take place:
Tuesday, April 16, at 6 p.m. at the Edgar Springs City Hall, 555 Broadway St. in Edgar Springs,
Tuesday, April 23, at 7 p.m., St. James City Hall, 100 S. Jefferson St. in St. James, and
Tuesday, April 30, at 7 p.m. at the Newburg City Hall, 191 Main St. in Newburg.
The commission will not hold morning meetings the same day that a night meeting is scheduled.
All area residents are invited and encouraged to attend these evening meetings to express concerns or to offer comments to county officeholders.
