  • The Rolla High School girls' soccer team bested Ozark Conference rival Springfield Kickapoo in shutout fashion on Thursday, blanking the Lady Chiefs 3-0 on Kiwanis Field at the Bray Sports Complex.
    Rolla improves to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the league.
    RHS took a 1-0 lead with a goal from junior forward Nicole Howard off a Emily Cates throw in the 20th minute.
    That 1-0 score held at halftime.
    Senior forward Bailey Dent got the second Lady Bulldog goal at the 48-minute mark off an assist by Mikaela Insall.
    Howard scored again in the 60th minute off a pass from Dent.
    Freshman Katie Hudson recorded her fourth shutout.
    Kickapoo won the junior varsity game 3-1. Junior Kaden Curtis scored the Rolla jayvee goal.
    Rolla was scheduled to play at Union in a non-conference make-up game Friday (April 5).
