The Doolittle Board of Aldermen will remain unchanged after Tuesday’s general municipal election.
Incumbents Brad Hilton, Ward 2 alderman, and Sherry Pierce, Ward 3 alderwoman, both received more votes than their challengers in the election.
Incumbent Billy Martin, Ward 1 alderman, ran unopposed and will also continue to serve on the board.
Hilton got 11 votes, or 57.89 percent, and defeated his challenger Earl Link by just three votes. Link raked in eight votes, or 42.11.
In Ward 3, there were 28 votes cast for Pierce. That represents 73.68 percent of the vote. Her challenger Garry L. Duhadway Sr. brought in 10 votes, or 26.32 percent.
Martin received 17 votes in Tuesday’s election in Ward 1.
There were no write-in votes in any of the Doolittle aldermen races.
Both Link and Hilton had served on the board in the past.
Doolittle aldermen serve two-year terms.
