Three members of the Rolla High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were selected to the Missouri Central Class 5 All-District Team, it was announced today.

Three members of the Rolla High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were selected to the Missouri Central Class 5 All-District Team, it was announced today.


The all-district teams were selected by the Missouri Sportswriters/Sportscasters Association.


Named all-district from the RHS boys’ squad were 6-3 sophomore forward Caleb Copeland and 6-0 junior guard Hunter Short. Named all-district from the Lady Bulldogs was 5-8 senior forward Andrea Zalis.


The RHS boys’ basketball squad finished 13-13 this past season. Copeland was the team’s leading scorer and rebounder. He averaged 13.5 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals. Short averaged 9.4 points, 3.1 assists and 2.5 steals.


The Lady Bulldogs finished 10-15. Zalis was the leading scorer and rebounder for RHS, averaging 15.3 points and 8.0 boards.
