Wednesday is the first official day of spring, but Mother Nature seemes to have missed that memo.
A winter storm will be moving into the area Thursday bringing more snow with it. Just how much should the Rolla area expect? It's still hard to say said Springfield-based National Weather Service meteorologist Jason Schaumann.
"It really depends on where you are in the Missouri Ozarks."
Schaumann said Rolla is sitting right on the edge of the storm system. He said if the current projections stay true, the Rolla area should expect 1-2 inches of snow starting late morning or early afternoon Thursday. The snow should taper off Friday morning.
He warned that if the storm goes farther to the north than they are expecting, then the Rolla area could get more snow, but if it tracks farther south, the snow could be lighter.
Schaumann said to keep an eye on the forecast and to watch for winter storm warnings or watches.
