Local gymnastics club has another big meet.
Flip-Flop Gymnastics of Rolla competed against 13 other clubs in a competition at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis on Feb. 23-24.
Among the communities represented were Nashville, Tenn.; Jonesboro, Ark.; Southaven, Miss; Corinth, Miss.; Cordova, Tenn., and Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Flip-Flop brought home first-place team trophies at the Level 4, Level 5 and Level 7 divisions.
The Flip-Flop Level 4 team, consisting of Riley Brown, Abby Harrison, Charley Leonard, Julia Pettijohn, Dawn Shepherd, Riley Slowensky and Kendall Woolman, collectively brought home 16 first-place medals, 10 second-place medals and six third-place medals individually.
The Level 5 team of Annie Lonning, Addison Maynard, Lorynn Pearson, Ukara Saxton and Taylor Stevens earned between them a total of 11 first-place individual medals and nine 2nd-place medals.
Lacey Squires, Flip-Flop's sole Level 6 gymnast, earned one 2nd-place individual medal and four 1st-place individual medals.
And the Level 7 team of Courtney Colench, Elizabeth DeNoon, Emalee Grooms, Lillie Scheffer and Erin Wilson collectively earned nine 1st-place individual medals, seven 2nd-place individual medals, and two 3rd-place individual medals.
