Diane B. Hancock, of Rolla, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at the age of 69.

She was born in Franklin, VA on February 16, 1944 to the late Spurgeon Clay and Elsie Lee (Bailey) Beale.

On August 29, 1960 she married Robert Hancock and they were blessed with two daughters.

Diane was the first FAA certified airplane mechanic in Missouri. Later in life she owned and operated D's Fabric Shop in James.

She was a member of the Believer's Praise Center in rural Rolla.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by one brother, Paulette Beale.

She will be greatly missed by her loving family which includes her husband, Robert Hancock, of the home; two daughters, Tammy Elrod, of Rolla, and Angie Stevens and husband Brian, of Rolla; one granddaughter, Sarah Elrod; a sister, Peggy Carr, of Windsor, VA; one brother, Ronald Beale, of Franklin, VA; other extended family members and dear friends.

A funeral service for Diane Hancock will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Rolla City Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Phelps Regional Hospice.
