  • Ilene Morgan, associate professor of mathematics and statistics at Missouri S&T, competed on the game show “Jeopardy!” in October 2012.

Morgan watched herself on TV during a watch party held Tuesday afternoon in the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building on campus. Morgan placed second, winning $2,000.

A large crowd turned out to watch the show with Morgan.

While she got the Final Jeopardy answer correct, “What is Anna Karenina?” her wager of $3,000 was not enough to win first place. “I had a blast,” Morgan told the crowd at the watch party.
