Kline Tracy Richardson, of Rolla, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the age of 96. He was born on August 13, 1916 in Rankin, Illinois to the late Kline M. Richardson and Ruth (Tracy) Richardson. On August 22, 1942, he married Dorothy (Shipp) Richardson.
Kline was a 1940 graduate of the Bradley Polytechnic Institute with a BS in chemistry and a minor in music. Kline was involved with music throughout his life, engaging in playing, directing, teaching, and organizing musical events. He was an active longtime member of the Methodist church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, who passed away in 1999.
Kline will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: two sons, Robert K. Richardson and wife Virginia of St. Louis, Missouri and David N. Richardson and wife Carol of Rolla; one brother, Deane Richardson of Northfield, Minnesota; one sister, Maryanna Zehr of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Christopher Richardson and Kelli Richardson; five great grandchildren, Ethan, Haley, Lindsay, William and Natalie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Kline Richardson will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Rolla. Rev. Tim Lee will officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 3 p.m. at the church.
