Rolla police are investigating at least three incidents of property damage believed to be caused by BB guns that were reported within hours Tuesday.
The first report was received by central dispatch around 7:39 a.m. Destruction of property was reported in the 400 block of North Pine Street.
When an officer arrived, he found that the windows of a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer were shot out by a BB gun.
The estimated cost of the damage is $4,266.
Then according to a report received by dispatch at about 9:37 a.m. in the 700 block of South Highway 63, an officer investigated a report of destruction of property in which 11 windows and two glass doors were shot out by a BB gun. The estimated cost of the damage in this case is $3,874.
Then around 3:04 p.m. in the 400 block of North Pine Street, an officer responded to a report of destruction of property in which a window of a residence was shot with a BB gun. The estimated cost of the damage is $350.
The investigation into these three cases is continuing.
Around 2 a.m. Wednesday, it was noticed that a business on Kingshighway had its windows either broken or shot also.
