Nobody was injured in a Monday morning accident when a train struck a pickup truck just west of Rolla.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a northbound 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Brittany K. Braidlow, 22, of Rolla, failed to stop at a stop sign at a train crossing near 13602 County Road 7000, about one mile west of Rolla.
A Burlington Northern Santa Fe train locomotive driven by Craig C. Ellis, 49, of Springfield, that was traveling westbound struck the right rear portion of the truck.
A 1-year-old child, Hadley R. Sneed, of Rolla, was an occupant in the Braidlow vehicle. Both Braidlow and Sneed were wearing safety devices, the patrol report stated.
Bradley W. Lantrip, 27, of Springfield, was an occupant in the engine along with Ellis. None of the four people involved suffered injuries.
There was extensive damage to the pickup truck and minor damage to the train. The crash occurred around 8:38 a.m. Feb. 18.
