William Leo Douglas, of Springfield, MO; formerly of Rolla, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at the age of 78.
He was born on April 30, 1934 in Adair County, MO to the late Emery Douglas and Fay (Asher) Douglas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Douglas and Marvin Douglas; and a grandson, Lance Douglas.
Bill will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: one son, William Douglas and wife Deborah of Kansas City, MO; three daughters, Elizabeth “Liz” Grabeel and husband Stephen of Springfield, MO; Karen Cox and husband Kevin of Jackson, MO, and Brenda Barber and husband Karl of Pensacola, FL; twelve grandchildren, Isaac Cox, Megan Phillips, Alison Cattron, Cody Cox, Alycia Heintz, Katie Chaney, Courtney Cox, Joshua Phillips, Amie Phillips, Shelby Barber, Kyle Douglas and Jack Barber; and eight great grandchildren, Emilie Cattron, Eliese Chaney, Gage Heintz, Eleigha McCallum, Madilynn Chaney, Kylie McCallum, Landon Wallace and Rayleigh Cox.
A funeral service for William L. Douglas will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla. Pastor Ron Hodges will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Herman Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
