According to a press release from the Maries County Sheriff’s Office, during the late hours of Feb. 8, members of the sheriff’s office and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group conducted a narcotics investigation in the 12000 block of Highway V southwest of Vienna.
As a result of the investigation, four suspects were arrested and taken to the Maries County Jail.
Charges for attempting to manufacture a controlled substance, a class B felony, have each been filed against George Puckett, 46, and Matthew D. Romine, 40, both of Dixon. Both Puckett and Romine remain in the jail. Each of their bonds have been set at $100,000.
Additionally, Jessica Salvo, 23, of Dixon has been charged, out of Phelps County, with possession of a chemical with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance.

It was reported that Salvo purchased items related to the manufacture of methamphetamine from a store in Rolla. Salvo remains in the Maries County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
The fourth person, whose name is being withheld until formal charges are filed, is expected to be charged later this week.
During the course of the investigation, investigators located numerous items related the manufacture of methamphetamines and suspected methamphetamines.
