  • The Community Partnership, a local non-profit organization, is pleased to announce that Mark Long has recently accepted the position of development director. Long will be replacing current director, Jenna Davis, who is moving to the private sector as a real estate professional.
The new development director has a lifelong connection to Phelps County. He was born at Phelps County Hospital (now Phelps County Regional Medical Center), grew up in the Rolla area, and is a Rolla High School graduate.

Long holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drury University. His experience includes working in marketing, customer service, development, management and sales for a national reference laboratory, a local regional medical center,  a pharmaceutical company, and a physician's private practice.
"We're very happy to welcome Mark to the Partnership," said Amy Beechner-McCarthy, executive director. "We're sad to see Jenna go, but we're grateful for the work she did in bringing in funds and helping us make positive, new connections in the community. Mark's background, his love for this area, and his interest in helping others make him a great fit for this position."
Long will begin his duties in February.
"Working for The Community Partnership will give me an opportunity to continue being involved in the community where I grew up," said Long. "I am most excited about being able to help better the lives of others through the programs the Partnership offers."
The Community Partnership serves young parents, youth in foster care, children with disabilities and their families, childcare providers, and community members working toward healthy living via programs like Young Parents, Capable Kids and Families, Early Care and Education, Fit Helps and the Independent Living Program.
