Clark Watson, of Rolla, was convicted of selling about 186 grams of marijuana to an undercover officer on March 10, 2011.
A Pulaski County jury on Monday found Clark Watson, of Rolla, guilty of distribution of a controlled substance, a class B felony.
Watson was convicted of selling 186.53 grams of marijuana to an undercover officer on March 10, 2011. Watson was also found to be a prior and persistent felony offender which ratchets up the punishment.
The jury deliberated for less than 10 minutes before finding Watson guilty. The case was heard in Pulaski County on a change of venue.
After the trial, Watson's bond was revoked and he was taken into custody to be held for sentencing on April 1 at 9 a.m. before the Honorable D. Gregory Warren.
The case was prosecuted by Phelps County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Brendan Fox.
"I want to commend Task Force Officer Wes Campbell for his hand work on the case," Fox said. "His work undercover a few years ago was a great asset to the community. I also want to thank Criminalist Beth Walker fir her thorough lab work. Without them this case was a no go."
Phelps County Prosecuting Attorney John Beger said he was pleased with the result.
"Mr. Fox did an outstanding job. My office will continue to work with local law enforcement to identify, arrest and prosecute these dealers and make sure they spend as much time as possible behind bars," Beger said.
