Treat your sweetheart to a special Valentine’s weekend with tickets to a one-night-only performance by the legendary vocal group The Lettermen on Friday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. This performance will be held at Missouri S&T University’s Leach Theatre.
The Lettermen first came together as a vocal group in the late 1950s, bringing their own unique style to the burgeoning music scene of the era, with a sound crossed between the big band vocal groups such as the Modernaires, Pied Pipers and Mills Brothers, and the early R&B rock groups such as the Flamingos and the Platters.
In a musical career spanning five decades, The Lettermen have released 32 albums, received 18 gold records worldwide, and recorded scores of top singles, including “The Way You Look Tonight ,” “When I Fall In Love,” “Theme From A Summer Place,” “Hurt So Bad,” and “Goin' Out Of My Head / Can't Take My Eyes Off You.”
The Lettermen’s current lineup includes original and founding member Tony Butala and long-time members Donovan Tea and Bobby Poynton.
Tickets for this special event are $25 for adults, $15 for youth 18 and under, and $10 for Missouri S&T students. Tickets may be purchased online at leachtheatre.mst.edu or from the Leach Theatre Box Office, located inside the main entrance of Castleman Hall, facing 10th street. Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 573-341-4219 for more information.
Leach Theatre will offer discounted tickets through its Back Row Club one hour prior to the event, should tickets remain for the show. The seats in the last row of the theater will be sold for $10 each prior to the performance.
