Euell “Butch” L. Chambers of Rolla, Missouri was born October 10, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late George and Ida (Hutson) Chambers, and entered into rest January 4, 2013 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 85.
Butch was united in marriage to Joy L. (Parker) Chambers on April 13, 1949 in Rolla, Missouri and to this union two children were born.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Butch was a member of the Rolla Church of Christ.
He was a classic car enthusiast.
Butch was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law as well as friend and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved.
Survivors include his wife Joy Chambers of Rolla; son George William Chambers & wife Cary of O’Fallon, MO; daughter Yvonne Edwards & husband John of Rolla; sisters Delores Nail & husband Edwin of Kerrville, TX and Berniece Peukert of CA; eleven grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Earl, Ed and Elmer Chambers in addition.
Services for Euell “Butch” L. Chambers will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10 AM at the Rolla Church of Christ in Rolla, Missouri. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 6 from 4 to 7 PM at James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla. Interment will be at Vienna Public Cemetery in Vienna, Missouri.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Cards are available at all James & Gahr locations.
