I hope everyone had a safe and joyful holiday season, and that the new year brings us all health and happiness.
A new year always brings with it thoughts of renewal, hope and progress. This year is no exception. As many people make their New Year’s resolutions, it is a time to reflect on the past year and make progress and improvements in the months to come.
Numerous pieces of legislation will be introduced in the coming months, with their sponsors optimistic about passage. We will spend many hours in committee hearings, debate, and interaction with constituents, voicing their concerns and issues, as the session continues. It is my hope that the outcome of every legislative session will make Missouri a better place to live, work and raise a family.
The following is a list of upcoming events for the next few months:
January 9 – Swearing in of new legislators
January 10 – Senate Session convenes
January 14 – Grand March/Inaugural Ball, 7:00 p.m.
Always feel free to contact me throughout the year with any comments, questions, or issues by calling my office at (573) 751-5713 or by visiting my website atwww.senate.mo.gov/brown.
Thank you for reading this and for your participation in state government.
