  • A tractor-trailer is to blame for snapping a utility pole and pulling wires down on Little Oaks Road Wednesday morning.
    The accident was reported at 7:53 a.m. in the 100 block of Little Oaks Road south of Rolla.
    According to an incident report from the Rolla Police Department, a 2008 Freightliner Columbia owned by Swift Trucking and driven by Edward A DeGraff, of Lubbock, Texas, was turning left into a private lot and struck wires with the upper cab of the truck. The vehicle then snapped a utility pole and pulled down wires belonging to Fidelity Communications Company.
    Fidelity reported approximately $1,200 in damage from the incident.
    No injuries were reported and the tractor-trailer sustained no damage.
