  • They started at noon in Doolittle and rolled, walked and rode down Highway T through Newburg Saturday to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season with a traditional holiday parade.
Led by police, sheriff’s and fire service vehicles, the parade included floats, decorated vehicles and Santa Claus himself.
After the parade, Santa received visitors at the historic Houston House, sitting them on his knee, handing out gifts and treats.
Volunteers work throughout the yar to collect the gifts and treats for the children of the two communities.
Christmas celebrations will continue throughout the month at churches and schools in Newburg.
Though small, the twin cities of Doolittle-Newburg, celebrate Christmas in a big way.
