Alma Glee (Parker) Vogeler, of Rolla, passed away November 22, 2012 at the age of 100 years, 4 months and 7 days. Alma was born in Burr, MO on July 15, 1912 to Charles and Lillian (Murray) Parker, the oldest of nine children. She was married on January 28, 1954 in Rockford, IL to Charles Vogeler, who preceded her in death.
Following the death of her husband, Alma moved to Rolla to be near her sister and brother-in-law, Gleana and Lloyd Harrison and a brother, Jewell Parker. She enjoyed many trips with Gleana and Lloyd , as they traveled in their motor home to many beautiful places throughout the United States.
Alma is survived by one brother, Jewell and his wife, Verneal of Rolla; and many nephews, nieces, and many friends.
Mrs. Vogeler worked many years in Rockford, IL as a beautician. A vital part of her life was her faith. She became a Christian at a young age and served the Lord with great love and enthusiasm. Before failing health, Mrs. Vogeler attended the First Assembly of God in Rolla.
A funeral service for Alma Vogeler was conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla. Pastor Chuck Whitmire officiated. Interment followed in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends was held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
