  • William Charles “Charlie” Saroch, 82, of Rolla

  • William Charles “Charlie” Saroch passed away Sunday, November 25 at the age of 82.
     
    He was born on January 17, 1930 in St. James, Missouri to Emile and Martha Saroch. He married Virginia Louise Fanger on May 27, 1956 and they had a son, Emil Edward “Eddie” Saroch.
     
    Charlie proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean War on the USS Hawkins.
     
    He was a proud member of the Eastern Star, Rolla VFW, Rolla American Legion, and was the Worshipful Master in 1962 for the St. James Masonic Lodge also having reached the highest level of that Lodge and was a lifetime member. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America and earned the honor of the Order of the Arrow.
     
    Charlie worked as a Dental Lab Technician for over 50 years serving dentists all across the area.
     
    In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, brother, Tom, and sisters, Martha and Mary.
     
    Charlie will be greatly missed by his son, Eddie and his wife Karla, grandchildren Jessica Robyn and Jonathon Edward, his brother Emil and many nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
     
    Family will accept visitors from 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 with the funeral following at 11 a.m. at Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla.
    Interment with full military honors will follow at Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens.
     
    In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America: Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001 or to the St. James Masonic Lodge.
