Billy “Bill” P. Rosenburg of Rolla, Missouri was born March 2, 1932 in Rolla, Missouri to the late Naamon and Pearl (Bell) Rosenburg, and entered into rest November 19, 2012 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 80.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during both the Korean War and Vietnam War. He served in the U.S. Navy until retirement and was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, Chapter #281.
He loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed woodworking and playing games.
Survivors include his wife Betty Lou Rosenburg of Rolla; son Paul A. Rosenburg & wife Robin of Rolla; brothers Tom Rosenburg & wife Jan of Rolla, Cecil Rosenburg & wife Carolyn of Rolla and Neil Rosenburg & wife Vicky of Rolla; sisters Helen Roberts & husband Lloyd of Rolla and Ida Mae Walls & husband L.T. of Olathe, KS along with many nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Alma Jean (Herberger) Rosenburg, brother Gene Rosenburg and sisters Dorothy Peterson and Virginia Savage in addition to his parents.
Services for Billy “Bill” P. Rosenburg will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 1 PM at James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla, Missouri with Pastor Stephen Kamprath officiating and Full Military Honors. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 23 from 12 to 1 PM at James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla.
Memorials are suggested to the Rolla Veterans Memorial Park. Cards are available at all James & Gahr locations.
