A fire that broke out in a Rolla home Sunday is still under investigation, according to Fire Chief Robert Williams, of the City of Rolla Fire and Rescue.
The fire broke out at 11 Stephendale Court around 12:30 p.m. Nov. 18. No injuries were reported.
Williams said he believes the fire started in the back bedroom of the residence. The cause is unknown.
“It burned the back bedroom and there was a lot of heat and smoke damage in the rest of the house,” the fire chief said.
The fire was mostly contained to the inside of the home with some broken glass, Williams said. He noted that the firefighters had extinguished the blaze quickly.
The City Rolla Fire and Rescue, Rolla Police Department and American Red Cross all assisted.
