For those in need or those who don’t have anywhere to go this Thanksgiving, one Rolla establishment is offering a free Thanksgiving meal this holiday season.
Ray J’s Chicago Taste Authority on Highway 63 south of Kingshighway in Rolla will offer the dinner from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. The dinner is open to the public.
Owner Justin Northern is organizing the event for those in need and told those attending to bring their appetites and to enjoy a good time with others.
“Also if you know of anyone in need, send them our way,” Northern said, adding that even students who don’t have anywhere to go this holiday are welcome.
The menu will consist of traditional Thanksgiving meals, such as turkey and ham, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce. The dinner will be served buffet style.
Northern said the community has been generous and that he wanted to reach out to families in need.
This is the first time that Northern will offer the dinner.
Northern has been owner of Ray J’s for more than two years and has been in the restaurant business for abut 10 years.
