Rolla native Michael Lund, an author of nine novels about Route 66 and the generation that came of age in the Midwest in the ’50s and ’60s, will speak on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1. The lecture will be held in Room 201 of the Humanities-Social Sciences Building.
Lund, professor emeritus of literature at Longwood University in Virginia, will speak about his latest novel, “How to Not Tell a War Story.”
Among Lund’s nine novels are “Growing up on Route 66” and “Route 66 to Vietnam: A Draftee’s Story.” They were all published by Beach House Books.
The lecture is sponsored by the English and technical communication department, the history and political science department and the military science department at Missouri S&T.
