  • Charles B. Evans Jr. of St. Louis, Mo. passed away at Big Bend Woods Health Care Center in Valley Park, Mo. on October 18, 2012. Charles Evans Jr. was 79 years and 25 days.
    Charles B. Evans Jr. was born on September 23, 1933 in Hartford, Arkansas to his parents: Charles Jefferson and Melverta (Wilhite) Evans. Charles B. Evans Jr. was united in marriage to Sharon Louise Bonar on March 30, 1988 in Castle Rock, Colorado.
    Charles Evans Jr. served his country in the US Air Force from October 15, 1957 to October 14, 1963. He was a Master Sargeant in charge of Transportation. Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Charles Evan Jr. will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
    Charles Evans Jr. is survived by his wife: Sharon Louise (Bonar) Evans of St. Louis, Mo.; one son: Jason Evans and wife Christiana of Brentwood, Mo.; two daughters: Carolyn Bachman and husband Jay of Larkspur, Co.; and Kathy Ohara Wahl and husband Jeff of Denver, Co.; four step-children: Scarlett Nelson of Santa Fe, Tx.; Joe Gray and wife Misty of Santa Fe, Tx.; Tara Lunz of Fulton, Mo.; and Melinda Cunningham and husband Ron of St. James, Mo.; one brother: Jeff Evans and wife Inez of Magazine, Ar.; four grandchildren; and thirteen step grandchildren.
    Preceding Charles Evans Jr. in death is his parents: Charles Jefferson and Melverta (Wilhite) Evans; and six brothers and sisters: Paul, Alta, Adeline, Audrey, Etna and Loriene.
    Visitation for Charles Evans Jr. will be on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 6 - 8 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Mo. Masonic Services will be conducted at 7 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Mo.
    Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Mo. with Pastor Ruedell Smith officiating. Songs that will be provided will be Go Rest High On That Mountain and Amazing Grace. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Mo.
    Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association or Diabetes Association.
