Lee “Sonny Boy” Pierce, of Rolla, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the age of 83.

He was born on March 6, 1929 in Duke, MO. On April 25, 1953, he married Virginia Ellen (Willis) Pierce who preceded him in death in 1988.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Jackson and stepfather, John Jackson; two sisters and five brothers.

Lee will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: one daughter, June Hills and husband Doug of Rolla; three sons, Kenny Pierce of Rolla, Tom Pierce and wife Tamera of Pueblo, CO and Tim Pierce and wife Venus of Terre Haute, IN; three brothers, Harold Jackson of CA, Jerry Jackson of Wichita, KS and Ronnie Jackson and wife Nancy of Potwin, KS; two sisters, Vivian Forshey and husband Arthur of Newburg, MO and Alice Lemmons of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren, Corey Hills, Crystal Hills, Ashley Pierce, Christopher Pierce, Caitlyn Pierce and Chelsea Pierce; numerous nieces; nephews; other family and friends.

A funeral service for Lee Pierce will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla. Rev. Dana Wood will officiate. Interment will follow in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at noon at the funeral home.
