  • A Newburg woman is out $160 after placing an order for 30 squirrels on the Internet that were never delivered.
    According to the a Phelps County Sheriff Department incident report, the victim, a 48-year-old Newburg woman, is a taxidermist.
    The sheriff's department is currently investigating the fraud.
    Deputies learned of the case after taking a report at the sheriff's office Monday, Oct. 8. The investigation is continuing.
    It is unknown if the woman was attempting to purchase live or dead squirrels.
