  • Mabel (Moses) White, 89, of Warrensburg, Missouri, formerly of Rolla, Missouri died peacefully on October 6, 2012.
    She was born March 22, 1923 in McLouth, Kansas, daughter of Carl Raymond and Ella Mae (Swain) Moses. She graduated from Basehor High School. She was united in marriage to Charles Brooks White at the Methodist Church in Basehor on October 9, 1943. They moved to Garnett, Kansas; Horton, Kansas and Maryville, Missouri with the United Telephone Company.
    In 1962, the couple moved their family to Rolla, Missouri, where they made their home for the next 50 years. She had resided in Warrensburg for the past ten years. Mabel and Charlie enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada. She was a member of Rolla P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter HR for over 50 years. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rolla, where she served as the church secretary and on various committees over the years.
    Mabel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Randy and Patti White of Warrensburg, MO; her daughter and son-in-law Cyndi and Jim Dunn of Harker Heights, TX; her grandchildren, Bryon (Lindsay) White of Haddonfield, NJ; David (Jamie) White of Salt Lake City, UT; Trisha White of Springfield, MO; Emily Dunn, Ethan Dunn and Trevor Dunn all of Harker Heights, TX; great grand children: Blake White, Ella White, Chase White, Noah White and Annie White; and her sisters Irene (Fred) White of Holton, KS and Connie (Tom) Pebley of Basehor, KS; sister-in-law Dorothy White of Topeka, KS and several nieces and nephews. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Charles on May 17, 1999; and two brothers: Alvin Moses and Carl “Bud” Moses.
    Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, immediately followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Bryon White officiating.
    Graveside services: will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rolla, Missouri.
    Pallbearers: will be Trevor Dunn, Ethan Dunn, Jim Dunn, Randy White, David White and Bryon White.
    Memorial: contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Rolla.
