James Francis “Jim” Allison Jr. was born in Salem, Missouri on November 1, 1944 to James Francis Allison Sr. and Ila Ruth (Turner) Allison. Jim passed away at his home in Salem, Missouri on September 28, 2012 at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 27 days.
Jim was united in marriage to Elise Baker on February 27, 1965. To this union six children were born. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and three children, Matthew Baker Allison; Elizabeth Allison and Christopher John Allison.
Jim is survived by his wife, Elsie, of their home in Salem; three children, James Allison III and wife, Rachel, of Rolla; Julie Kerr and husband, Tony, of Jefferson City; and Daniel Allison and wife, Jill, of Wichita, Kansas; ten grandchildren, Bailey, Christopher and Emma Allison; Allison Kerr; Christy Kormann; Alex, Michael, Amanda, Katie and Matthew Allison; one great grandson, Jay Kormann; a sister, Pat Sterling and husband, Duane, of Warrensburg; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Jim was an avid bowler. He had enjoyed bowling for many years both in Salem and Rolla. He was a wonderful man who will be deeply missed by many.
Graveside service for James Francis “Jim” Allison Jr. was 11:00 a.m. Wednesday October 3, 2012 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with J. J. Tune officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jim and Rachel Allison, Julie and Tony Kerr, Daniel and Jill Allison, Glen and Jodie Sapaugh, Dion and Laura Estrada; and Ray Lewis.
Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, with all arrangements under the direction of Dent County Memorial Chapel.
