Fall fun-fest Saturday at Columbia College

The Rolla community, including all Columbia College alumni in the area, are invited to a community and alumni fall fun-fest at the new Rolla campus located at 550 Blues Lake Parkway.

The event, which will feature free food, games and activities, will take place Saturday, Sept. 8, from 1-4 p.m.

Attendees can win door prizes and check out interactive displays. A raffle, benefitting the campus’s Alpha Sigma Lambda honor society, will be held.

In September 2011, Columbia College-Rolla received a substantial gift from Springfield-based philanthropist Jim D. Morris, who made a donation of property with a building he owned in Rolla West, which is now being used for the new Columbia College-Rolla campus.

The building includes a multitude of classroom space and a science laboratory. A ribbon cutting for the new 37,000-foot facility was held last month.
