Della Christine Black 78, of Rolla

Della Christine Black, of Rolla, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at the age of 78.

She was born on December 1, 1933 in Rolla to the late Ira Havens and Faye (Brewster) Havens. On December 10, 1951, she married James E. Black and to this union six children were born.

In addition to her parents and husband, Christine was also preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Zoellner; one grandson, Shawn Lewis; three brothers, Paul Havens and twin boys, Ray and Roy Havens; and one sister, Marie Smith. Christine will be sadly missed by her surviving family which includes: five children, Randy Black and wife Jewel of Victoria, TX, Sharon Jackson and husband Jim of St. James, Greg Black and wife Shelly of Rolla, Linda Gray and husband Steve of St. James, and Marcia Mayo and husband Randy of Rolla; four sisters, Jane Light of Rolla, Irene Hart and husband Don of Woodstock, GA, Blanche Lorts of Rolla, June Hitt and husband Dick of Covington, LA; one brother, Phillip Havens and wife Connie of Rolla; twenty grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Christine Black will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Null and Son Funeral Home of Rolla. Phil Havens will officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pilot Knob Cemetery.
