McMillan sits in 25th place among the 36 athletes who finished the first day of the heptathlon competition Friday.
After four events in the seven-event heptathlon McMillan has totaled 3,602 points.
McMillan placed sixth in Heat 4 of the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :13.49, was 15th in Group B in the high jump at 1.68 meters; placed fourth in Group A – and fourth overall – in the shot put at 14.92 meters, and was seventh in Heat 3 in the 200-meter dash at :25.25.
The three events remaining in the heptathlon competition on Saturday include the long jump, javelin and 800-meter run. McMillan will be one of the favorites for a high placement in the javelin competition.

In fifth place, and just three points away from the third-place spot, is McMillan's United States teammate Hyleas Fountain, who has 3,900 points.
