  • Sleepezzz wraps up perfect Chic season

  • Sleepezzz wrapped up an undefeated season to capture the Rolla Youth Baseball/Softball (RYBS) Chic Division softball league championship on Thursday at Schuman Park.


    Sleepezzz defeated Rolla Optimist Club 15-7 on Thursday to finish its season with an 8-0 record.

  • Sleepezzz wrapped up an undefeated season to capture the Rolla Youth Baseball/Softball (RYBS) Chic Division softball league championship on Thursday at Schuman Park.
    Sleepezzz defeated Rolla Optimist Club 15-7 on Thursday to finish its season with an 8-0 record.
    Merideth Sowers belted a homer, two singles and scored three runs to power the winners while Skylar Turner had a triple, double and single while scoring three runs; Alyssa Carnelison had three hits and scored three runs, and Chayce Ayers and Cassie Carnelison each had two hits and scored twice. Sowers was also the winning pitcher.
    Kayla Reed slammed a pair of homers and Ashley Wilson, Haley Lenox, Sarah Jones, Ryan Rigsby and Elizabeth Jackson all had a single and scored a run for the Optimist Club.
    In other Chic Division games on Thursday:
    Mikila Harmon had a single and scored three runs while Courtney Nicewaner scored three times; Amber Breen tripled and singled; Alcina Reese doubled and scored twice, and Allie Harmon had a single and scored twice as Superior Crane played to a 17-17 tie with Phelps County Bank. Cheyenne Willenbrink had a double, single and scored three times while Alisa Conroy and Taylor Waterman each had a hit and scored twice and Morgan Snider, Courtney Spencer and Taylor Young each scored twice for Phelps County Bank.
    Taylor Hance scored what proved to be the winning run in the fourth inning as Marriott Construction clipped Superior Crane 11-10. Amber Dean had two hits and scored three runs while Kameron Jordan had three hits and Kaegann Jordan, Taylor Squires and Hance each had two hits for the winners. Mikala Harmon had a hit and scored twice while Courtney Nicewaner homered, Alcina Reese had two hits and Skylar Veo scored twice for Superior Crane.
