Rolla junior golfer Mark Martin tied for 20th overall in the Age 16-18 Division at the Missouri Junior Amateur Championships, held at Paradise Point Golf Course.


Martin fired a two-round total of seven-over-par 76-75–151 in the tournament, which concluded on Tuesday.


Another area player, Licking’s Ian Barnes, tied for 45th in the Age 16-18 Division with 77-78–155.

Lebanon’s Mitch Mather was the overall winner of the Age 16-18 Division with 140, one stroke better than Lee’s Summit’s J.P. Derksen and two strokes better than Mission Hills, Kan. native Henry Simpson.

In the Boys’ Age 14-15 Division Bailey Woods, of Warrensburg, won by three strokes, with 140.

Nevada’s John Quitno was the Boys’ Age 12-13 Division champion with 154, winning by 12 strokes.

In the Girls’ Age 16-18 Division St. Robert’s Taylor Vick tied for fourth overall with 84-85–169. Warrensburg’s Taylor Black easily won the Girls’ 16-18 Division title with 155.

In the Girls’ Age 14-15 Division O’Fallon’s Amanda Kim won with 156 while in the Girls’ Age 12-13 Division Carterville’s Kylie Carnes won with 194.
