  • What: The 37th annual Newburg Day and Civil War Living History
    When: Saturday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Where: Little Piney Community Park in Newburg
    Three event Highlights
    1. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Wolf Pride Drive near Newburg High School.
    2. A Civil War Living History will start at 11 a.m. and will feature Civil War re-enactors and a display of historic artifacts, period crafts and cannons.
    3. An auction featuring items from many local businesses will be held at 3 p.m. at the gazebo.
    Why you should attend
    “I invite everyone to come out and see us and have a good time, especially if you like history,” said Norman Ford, president of the Newburg Day Committee. “Come out just to have fun and learn something about the history of the Civil War. There’s something for everybody.”
