Effective Oct. 1, vehicle registration will no longer be required on Fort Leonard Wood and the Vehicle Registration Office at the Sverdrup Visitor Center, Building 100, will no longer issue Department of Defense vehicle decals. Current decals will still be recognized and there is no need to remove those decals until they expire.

Rick Vise, the post's Directorate of Emergency Services chief of security operations said that visitors to Fort Leonard Wood can still get
a vehicle pass from the visitor center, but passes are not necessary for a short term visit to the installation.
