Thanks to its victory over the weekend against then top-ranked Northern Kentucky, Missouri S&T's men's soccer team made a big leap in the national rankings – vaulting 10 spots to the No. 7 position in the new poll released Tuesday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.


S&T's 2-1 win over the Norse moved the 7-1 Miners from No. 17 to seventh and also to the top spot in the Midwest regional rankings. The No. 7 ranking is the highest ever afforded the S&T men's soccer program, surpassing the No. 11 ranking the Miners held earlier this season.
