The jury trial that had been scheduled to take place Sept. 14 for the alleged involvement of Terrance Tipton, 20, of Rolla, in a gunpoint robbery that reportedly took place at Lions Club Park in March was cancelled, and the charges were dismissed.

The dismissal for Tipton appears to be part of a plea deal for another case against Tipton dating back to April 2010.

According to court documents, Tipton pleaded guilty to second degree burglary, a Class C felony, in the 2010 case on Aug. 22.

Tipton was sentenced to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the burglary charge.
