Missouri S&T volleyball coach Jason Holt has announced the signing of two additional players, bringing his signing class to a total of nine players for the 2011 campaign.


Missouri S&T volleyball coach Jason Holt has announced the signing of two additional players, bringing his signing class to a total of nine players for the 2011 campaign.

Kaitlyn McDonald, a 6-2 middle hitter/right side hitter, played for four years at Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, Ill., southwest of Chicago. She was a middle blocker for the Celtics and earned two letters for head coach Rachel Ellingston. She was one named one of the Top 200 players in Illinois and served as a team captain in 2008-09.

Sierra Comer, a 5-8 outside hitter and defensive specialist, played four seasons at Camdenton High School for head coach Ann Gulshen. She won four letters for the Lakers and was a member of two Ozark Conference championship teams in 2009 and 2010.
Comer was a two-time first team all-district and all-regional selection. She was also selected first team all-conference as a junior. Comer helped lead her team to a district title as a sophomore. She was also a four time academic all-conference selection. As a senior she recorded 302 kills, 284 digs, 40 aces and 12 blocks.
