The Missouri S&T Lady Miners struggled on both sides of the ball all day long as it was swept in a doubleheader at Rockhurst 6-0 and 6-0 on Sunday afternoon at Loyola Park in Kansas City, Mo.
The Lady Miner (12-26, 7-13 GLVC) offense had a total of 10 hits in the doubleheader loss as it fell a couple spots out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the conference tournament.
S&T’s defense wasn’t much better as it committed four errors on the afternoon which led to seven unearned runs for the Hawks (15-25, 8-12 GLVC).
Rockhurst scored two runs in the second inning of game one and then broke it open with a four spot in the fifth inning. Five of the six runs scored were unearned.
