I-44 Traffic Shift Possible at Gasconade River Bridge
When: 7 p.m. tonight (Monday, April 18) to 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 19
Where: I-44 at the Gasconade River bridge (Mile Marker 143) east of Lebanon
What: Contractor crews will try to pump concrete to the new westbound I-44 bridge at the Gasconade River from below the existing bridge. High water in the Gasconade River could prevent the operation. If this occurs, crews will have to move to the westbound lanes of I-44 and use the existing westbound bridge deck to set up the concrete pumping operation. If this happens, westbound I-44 traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lanes with one lane open in each direction.
NOTE: Weather and/or construction delays will require crews to reschedule the work.
