The Rolla High School girls’ track team’s 4x400-meter relay squad placed 15th in Friday’s preliminary race at the Missouri Class 4 Track and Field Championships.


The Lady Bulldog team of Shandy Crall, Claire Victor, Grace Hofheins and Caryn Ranney had a time of 4:08.44.


The result officially ended the season for the RHS track squad. The state meet continues on Saturday.


Lee’s Summit West leads the Class 4 girls’ team standings after one day with 23 points while Joplin of the Ozark Conference is second with 14. Another Ozark Conference rival of Rolla’s, Waynesville, is tied for fourth place with 10 points.

In the Class 4 boys’ meet Lee’s Summit North leads the way with 21 points while Columbia Rock Bridge is second with 18. Waynesville is 13th with six points.

In the Class 3 boys’ state meet University City was leading with 23 points after Friday’s action while Staley was second with 21. West Plains, of the Ozark Conference, is sixth with 10 points.

In the Class 3 girls’ meet Herculaneum was leading with 20 points while Moberly was second with 11.5 points. Sullivan of the Four Rivers Conference was 13th with five points.
