The Missouri S&T Lady Miner Basketball Camp is set to be held Monday through Thursday, June 7-10, at the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.


The camp, for girls who will be entering grades 3-10, will be held from 9 a.m.-noon June 7-10.


Players will learn the fundamentals and skills of the game as well as develop ideals in sportsmanship, leadership and citizenship. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability. An emphasis will be placed on the development of shooting, ball handling, rebounding, passing and defense skills. Time will also be spent on footwork, pivots, balance and proper positioning. There will be eight-foot goals for younger campers.


Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in free throw, hot shot, speed dribbling, 3-on-3 and 1-on-1 contests. Five-on-five games will also be a part of daily activities. Prizes will be awarded for all contest winners.


All campers must provide are their own basketball shoes and water bottles. Make sure personal property is properly marked.


Lady Miner head coach Alan Eads is camp director and S&T assistant coach Keri Hessel is camp coordinator.


Cost is $85 for individuals or $75 each for two or more per family. Campers will be accepted until the start of camp on the first day as space permits. Campers will also receive a S&T Miner Camp T-shirt.
